Complete guide to soccer betting rules at Flush. Covers match markets, goal scorer bets, cards, corners, VAR rules, player props and data sources.

Written by Coco

Flush offers soccer betting on hundreds of leagues and competitions worldwide. Here is how every market type is settled.

Match Settlement

All soccer bets are settled on the result after two halves of regular time, including injury and stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not included unless the market explicitly states otherwise.

Goal scorer Markets

Anytime Goal scorer Bets stand if the player comes on as a substitute. Players who remain on the bench without playing are void.

First Goal scorer Bets stand if the player comes on before the first goal is scored. Players who do not enter the field are void.

Last Goal scorer Bets stand if the player enters the game. If the player is substituted before the last goal, the bet is void.

Own goals do not count toward any goal scorer market, including Anytime Goal scorer, First Goal scorer, Next Goal scorer, or Player to Score X.

Player Prop Markets: If a player is not in the starting XI, all player prop markets are void except Anytime Goal scorer, First Goal scorer, Last Goal scorer, Player to Score X, and Team First Goal scorer.

Scoring Type Definitions

Type

Definition

Freekick

Scored directly from a free kick or corner. Deflections count if the taker is credited.

Penalty

Scored directly from the spot. Rebounds from missed penalties do not count.

VAR Rules: A VAR review is only considered official when the referee draws a box gesture in the air or physically checks the on-field monitor. A Goal Check message on the scoreboard or a hand-to-ear gesture does not constitute an official review.

Team Stats Markets Markets covering shots, offsides, fouls, saves, throw-ins, and similar stats are settled using the following data sources in order of priority: official competition source, WhoScored, 365Scores, and Sofascore. The first available source is used, and later stat changes do not trigger re-settlement.

Player Props: All soccer player prop markets are settled using OPTA data.

Expected Goals (xG): xG markets measure the probability of scoring from specific chances. All xG markets are settled using absolute values from FotMob.

Other Rules

  • If the ball hits the post or crossbar and stays in play, it counts as one woodwork hit even if it strikes multiple times without player contact.

  • Penalties awarded but not taken are not considered for any market.

  • If an offside call leads to a free kick, the offside is counted.

  • If a match format changes, all bets may be voided.

  • If a friendly ends before 80 minutes by referee decision, all bets are voided.
