General Rules

Single-Game Settlement
All bets apply to the specific game listed unless stated otherwise.

Incomplete Games
If a game is not completed (forfeited, aborted, or otherwise unfinished), all undecided markets will be void unless their outcomes were already determined.

Move Counting
Moves are counted based on White’s move number.
Example: If White has made 10 moves, the game is counted as having 10 moves.

Official Source
All moves, events, and outcomes are settled using the official game protocol.

Market Rules

Checkmate

Settles as Won if the game ends in checkmate.
Settles as Lost if the game ends via draw, resignation, timeout, or stalemate without checkmate.

Total Castlings

Settled on the total number of castlings (0, 1, or 2) performed by both players combined.
Both kingside and queenside castlings count.

First Move

Player must predict the first move played (e.g., e4, d4).

First Piece to Move

Settled on the type of the first piece moved by either player (Pawn or Knight).

First Captured Piece

Settled on the type of the first piece captured (Pawn, Knight, Bishop, Rook, or Queen).

Pawn Promotion

Settles as Won if any pawn (from either player) is promoted during the game.

En Passant

Settles as Won if an en passant capture occurs at any point in the game.
(Full description of en passant included in original rules but omitted here for clarity.)

Stalemate

Settles as Won only if the game officially ends in stalemate.

Who Will Have More Pieces at the End

Settled based on which player has more remaining pieces (including pawns).
If both players have the same number, the result is Draw.

Final Number of Pieces

Settled on the combined number of all pieces (including pawns) remaining on the board at the end of the game.

Number of Checks

Settled on the total number of times a player gives check during the game.

Total Moves

Settled on the total number of moves (counted by White’s move number) when the game ends.

Checkmate Before Move {X}

Settles as Won if checkmate occurs before the specified move number.
Move count uses White’s move number.

Game Ends Before Move {X}

Settles as Won if the game ends (checkmate, resignation, draw) before the specified move number.
Move count uses White’s move number.

First to Give Check

Predict whether White or Black gives the first check of the game.

Tournament Markets

Higher Final Standing

Settled based on official final standings of the tournament.
If players tie on points, official event tiebreak rules apply.

If no tiebreaks are applied or no ranked final list is published, bets are void.

If a player does not start the tournament (plays 0 games), all bets involving that player are void.

Who Will Win More Games With White

Settled on which player wins more games while playing White.
If both win the same number → Draw.
If a player does not play with White, bets on that player are void.

Who Will Win More Games With Black

Same as above, but only wins with Black count.
If a player does not play any games with Black, bets are void.

Total Wins Combined

Settled on the total number of wins (by both players) in the tournament.
Only wins count; draws and losses do not.

Player Total Wins

Settled on the player’s total number of wins (with either color).
If a player does not start the tournament, bets are void.

Player Total Wins With White

Settled based on wins achieved while playing White.
If the player does not play as White, bets are void.

Player Total Wins With Black

Settled based on wins achieved while playing Black.
If the player does not play as Black, bets are void.

Player Total Points

Points awarded:

  • Win (including forfeit win): 1 point

  • Draw: 0.5 points

  • Loss (including forfeit loss): 0 points

If a player withdraws mid-tournament, only completed games count toward settlement.

Player to Start 3–0

Settles as Won if the player wins their first three games consecutively (including forfeit wins).
If the player draws or loses any of the first three games → Lost.
If the player does not start the tournament → bets are void.
