The Short Answer

No. Arc Raiders is not on Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass, and it has not been on either since its October 30, 2025 launch. It is a paid purchase at $39.99 for the standard edition and $59.99 for the Deluxe Edition. Embark Studios has made no announcement about a subscription release on any platform.

Why the Xbox Store Page Mentions Game Pass Anyway

Two separate lines on the listing create the confusion, and both are worth understanding because they cost real money on console.

The first is online play. Arc Raiders is an extraction shooter with no offline mode, and on Xbox console an online multiplayer subscription is required to play it at all. That is the entry tier of Game Pass, sold separately from the game. Buying Arc Raiders on an Xbox console without any subscription leaves you with a game you cannot launch into a raid.

The second is cloud streaming. The page lists the game as cloud playable with the Essential, Premium or Ultimate tiers, followed by the words game purchase required. Streaming here applies to a copy you already own rather than granting access to one. It is a delivery method, not an entitlement.

PC is simpler. There is no subscription requirement for online play on PC, so the $39.99 purchase is the whole cost.

What You Actually Get for $39.99

The standard edition is the full game. The $59.99 Deluxe Edition adds cosmetic content and can also be bought later as an upgrade from standard, so there is no penalty for starting cheap and deciding afterwards.

There is no free-to-play version and no trial. Arc Raiders sits in the same paid-premium category as Helldivers 2, which is also absent from Game Pass, rather than the free-to-play extraction titles it often gets compared with.

Why It Is Not on Game Pass

Commercial reasons, not technical ones. Arc Raiders has sold more than 14 million copies since launch, which is an unusual result for a mid-priced multiplayer game from a studio's second release. A title selling at that rate has no incentive to trade $39.99 sales for a per-subscriber payment, and Embark has kept its focus on paid sales plus post-launch content.

Reporting through 2026 has put any Game Pass arrival years away at best, with no announcement or timeline from either Embark or Microsoft. If it does eventually happen, the pattern to expect is the one most premium multiplayer games follow: a subscription appearance long after the sales curve flattens.

Is It on PlayStation Plus?

Arc Raiders is available on PlayStation 5 as a paid purchase, and Embark has not placed it in a subscription catalogue on any platform. As with Xbox, a PlayStation Plus membership is what covers online multiplayer access on console rather than the game itself.
